WAR OFFICE APPOINTMENTS
(bsitisb orriciAL wieelxss.) RUGBY, January 21. The appointment of MajorGeneral E. A. Beck as director of personnel services at the War Office was gazetted to-night, as also was the appointment of Colonel G. le Q. Martel as deputy director of mechanisation at the War Office. Colonel Martel is best known as the originator of the light tank.
