JOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that * the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board proposes at a Meeting to be held on Wednesday, the Ninth day of February One thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight to consider a Motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing by way of Special Loan of the sum of Fifteen thousand pounds (£15.000) for the purposes of providing the Board's contribution towards the costs of constructing works for the drainage and control of Lake Ellesmere, and for the protection or lands adjacent to such lake including the construction of a permanent outlet from the said lake to the sea, the said loan to be secured by a Special rate to be levied on the capital value of the land comprised in a Special area as shown on a plan now open for public inspection at the Office of the said Board, situated at Tai Tapu, such special rate to be levied at the rate of If of a penny in the £ on au lands "classified as Class A in the special area, and 11/16ths of a penny .in the £ on all lands classified as Class B therein and 11/32nds of a fied as Class C therein, and the loan to be for a term of thirty years.
