MAGISTRATE'S COURT

SATURDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.) Alfred Robert Bruce Murray (Mr J. K. Moloney) was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within 12 months, with the condition that he lake out a prohibition order, on a charge of attempting to steal a wallet containing £l2 10s, the property of Charles Edward Porter. Detective-Sergeant T. Holmes said that Murray had gone to a warehouse where he had later been found with the owner's wallet in his hand. Drink appeared to be the trouble. REMANDS GRANTED
