COMMITTEE MEETING HELD
_ Dr. F. C. A'Court presided at a meeting of the committee of the Christchurch Harmonic Society. It was decided that the choir should commence its practices for the coming year on Tuesday, February 1. . Mr George M. Martin, who is acting as conductor of the choir in the absence of Mr V. C. Peters in England, outlined the programme of music ™cji he had chosen, and it was decided that the society's concerts be § ive £ at tne Clvic Theatre on May 4 and (LP? s S!: r ? ta ??' Mr K. G.Archer, reported that Alan Loveday, the brilM^ bo J Xi°! inist from Palmerston North, agreed to appear for the society again at its next concerts, and it was decided to confirm the engagement of Alan Loveday as soloist.
