COASTAL VESSELS FOR N.Z
- ■■■-♦ ORDERS GIVEN TO I.EITH SHIPBUILDERS (TOOK OtTB OWI COBBESPOTTDIST.) LONDON, January i. Two orders have recently been placed with' Henry Robb. Ltd.. shipbuilders, of Leith, for vessels for New Zealand. For Richardson and Company the vard will build a twin-screw cnaster of 900 tons gross. anc j f or the Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company a similar vessel of 800 tons gross. Both will be of the familiar Robb high-class coaster type, and will be powered with Atlas Polar Diesel engines. It is expected that they will be launched about July and "August of this year. The Port Tauranga. now in service. eame from the same builders, and tha yard is now fitting out the Kahikn. and building a sister-ship. f'--r the Union Steam Ship Company.
