CALEDONIAN GAMES AT NEW PLYMOUTH
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH, January 23. At the Taranaki Caledonian games at Hawera on Saturday, the New Zealand Highland Reel championship was won by June Scott (Palmerston North), with D. Bothwell second. The North Island championship for slow Highland airs was won by Murdo Mackenzie (Masterton), and A. Kirkland (New Plymouth) was second. In the North Island chafnpionship men's sword dance, Bothwell was first and Claude Henderson second.
