HON. R. SEMPLE VISITS THAMES
(PBKSS ASSOCIATION TKLEOKAM.) THAMES, January 21. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister for Public Works, accompanied Mr J. Wood, Engineer-in-Chief of the Public Works Department, Mr F. S. Dyson. Auckland District Public Works Engineer, and Mr Hamilton Knight, a member of the New South Wales Parliament, arrived at Thames this morning and was met by Mr S. Elisor, the Mayor, Mr C. L. Grange. Borough Commissioner, Mr H. Lowe, county chairman, and Mr K. S. Hetherington, president of the Chamber of Commerce.
The Minister later received deputations and was entertained to luncheon by the local authorities. Mr Semple will inspnet the TairuaKauaeranga road and will leave tomorrow for Coromandel and the northern part of the peninsula.
