SUPERANNUATION AND HEALTH SCHEMES
PRESENTATION TO LABOUR CAUCUS NEXT MONTH
[From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, January 21. A good deal of importance is attached to tIK« first 1938 caucus of the Parliamentary Labour Party, to be held on February 10. It is likely that at this meeting the Government's national superannuation and national health insurance proposals will be revealed in something like their final form.
The Cabinet has been discussing these proposals for some days, and at the conclusion of a long meeting uf the Cabinet this evening, the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) indicated that good progress' had been made with the framing of the respective schemes. He said that at the moment the Minister for Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) was examining them from the point of view of the financial obligations involved.
