OUR SPECIAL HOLIDAY SMILES
Lady Gay went into the Smile Shop. . "/ want five dozen of the best smiles you have," she said, and never once thought of expense. She was in a holiday mood, you see, and wasn't worrying over trifles. . Unfortunately, when she went on board "The Press Ship" once again everyone there admired the smiles so much that they wanted to wear them, too. You can see above that, though the smiles were most expensive, and very stylish, in some cases they werent a good fit. Peter has no smile? No, sad to say he opened his mouth so wide that he swallowed his. If you have no smile to wear to-day just borrow one. This is a special Holiday Number, and you siinply must smile when you read a Holiday Number. There is «, Puzzle Page, a Painting Page, stories for big ones, and stones for little ones, as well as lists of overseas girls and boys to whom you may write. Oh, Lady Gay wore out six smiles making up "The Gay Gazette" this week. m^Tir n u What? Mother Bunch's smile is crooked? Well, between ourselves she WOULD have a Wrge-sized one, and it slipped a little. But it is tied in SUCH a dainty little bow at the back. If you look carefully you will see the ends. Lady Gay won't sign her name this time she'll just pop in a smile. A^^*>* (This smile was Most Expensive.)
