WASHING DAY TOLD THE TALE
When I was on holiday at my auntie's. Margaret and Owen and I had great fun. Do you all want to know what it was? Well, I will tell you. There was gully there and Owen, Helen, Margaret, ana I
got some sacks and slid down the gully. And what a mess we were in when we had finished! Sometimes the sacks were left behind. Auntie found out on washing day! —NANCY RICHES, L.8.H., A.B. <,age<A 10>, KUlinchy.
A GOOD GAME
Push a short slick into the ground and make the players stand about five yards back from the stick. Blindfold each player and turn him round three or four times.
Then ask him to walk straight to the stick and put his hat on it. It is amusing to see how many walk in the wrong direction. —ELEANOR TOMLINSON, A.P.S., L.8.H., Brookside.
A BOOK
A book, I think, is very like A little golden door That takes me into places Where I've never been before,
It leads me into fairyland Or countries strange and far. And, best of all, the golden door Always stands ajar!
