PRAISE FOR SCHOOL BOOKLETS
EMPIRE ARTICLE EXCHANGE SCHEME
Praise for the high standard of booklets for the Empire Article Exchange Scheme, prepared by pupils of the Jack's Mill, Te Moana, Waimataitai, Pleasant Point, and Hawarden Schools, was expressed by members of the Canterbury Education Board at their meeting yesterday. The booklets have been prepared at the invitation of the Dulwich Central School Geographical Society and will be scut to England. Other preparations from English schools will be sent to
New Zealand in exchange. These booklets from the New Zetland schools will be duplicated and sent to various schools throughout the Empire.
Some of the work was exhibited to members of the board yesterday. The booklets are mostly of geographic interest, and they deal mainly with the districts of the schools. They are well illustrated with photographs, some of which are coloured, and they have been carefully printed and set out by the children themselves.
