DANCE AT WAIKUKU BEACH
FUNDS FOR VIOLET QUEEN A successful dance, in aid of the violet candidate (Miss V. Scott), in the Rangiora branch of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association's queen carnival, was held at Waikuku Beach on Wednesday evening. Music was provided by Mrs D. O'Shea (piano), Messrs W. G. Nairn, L. Ching, R. S. Thwaites, and O. Sheppcrd, with extras by Messrs R. Hansen and R. Sheppcrd (Woodend). A tap dance was given by Noelcen Schimanski. EVENING SPORTS MEETING AT RANGIORA Results of events at the evening sports meeting held by the Rangiora Amateur Athletic Club on Wednesday were as follows : Ilovs' 75 Yards—F. LafTey 1, R.
