+ DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS CONTINUED (FBESB ISSOCIATIOB TIUSIiM.) WANGANUI, January 19. The Dominion croquet championships were continued to-day in fine weather when a start was made with the women's and men's singles championships. In the first life and first round of the women's event, Mrs Watkins beat Mrs Gambrill. 26-13. In the men's championship first life and first round, H. P. Stratton beat G. Hart 26-14, and J. Tannock beat W. E. Tye, 26-22. In the first round, second life, R. W. McCreath beat H. A. Penn, 26-3. Other results were:— Doubles —Taylor and Hicks beat Burnett and Mathews, 26-15, Wansborough and La Hoche beat Walker and August, 26-12, Mrs Jarvie and Cuthbertson beat Veitch and Johnstone 26-24, McMurray and Davidson beat Tiffen and Sampson, 26-17.
