DENTAL CLINIC AT CHEVIOT
Public Meeting Held
GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY TO
BE OBTAINED
Mr G. Teller presided at a wellattended meeting of residents of the Cheviot district to make arrangements for the raising of approximately £l2O required to establish the new dental clinic at the Cheviot School. The amount required is needed for the building and furnishing of the clinic. The sum will be subsidised £ for £ by the Government. Mr H. N. Buttle, of Sumner, was present, and described the working of the clinic in the Sumner area. Children from the age of 2£ years and from the primers to Standard IV will receive treatment. Lists are being prepared, and a canvass of the district will be made. The following were elected to the committee; Mesdames G. Struthers, L. G. Nell, and A. Elliott, Revs. F. Buck and G. Leishman. Messrs G. Telfer, A. C. Barnes. A. C. Fuller, R. Sollitt, P Munro C. F. Barnes, G. B. Cooper, C. A. Mowat, W. J. McClintock, L. Burnett and C. R. Bruntom
The Rev. F. Buck is acting secretary and treasurer. A meeting will be held in February to make further arrangements.
