DEATH OF INFANTS IN U.S. HOSPITAL
AN UNIDENTIFIED DISEASE (Received December 6, 7.5 p.m.) CHICAGO, December 5. The death of 10 infants in 10 days of an unidentified disease which is characterised by acute inflammation of the intestinal tract with intense toxn poisoning, and which is usually fatal in 24 hours, has resulted hi the shutting down of the obstetrical ward at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Several other babies axe still criiic--allsr ill.
