MARY'S The annual tennis match between St. Mary's, Manchester street, Christchurch, and St. Joseph's, Temuka, took place during the week-end. the Temuka team winning by 9 sets to 8 The results were (Temuka names first):— Women's Singles—Miss M. Spillane lost to Miss U. Amos 3-6, Miss M. Healy beat Miss G. Owens 6-4, Miss M. Earl lost to Miss M. Dunne 4-6, Miss Mavis Earl beat Miss R. Owens 6-4, Miss R. Hoare beat Miss J. Sturgiss 6-5, Miss T. Hoare lost to Miss R. Keogh 1-6. Men's Singles—G. Dwan beat V. Bendall 6-5, P. Gilmour lost to M. Robinson 5-6, V Spillane lost to N. Moore 3-6. M. Healy beat A. Melville 6-3, B. Collins lost to C. Kennedy 2-6, F. Ives beat R. Arney 6-3. Women's Doubles—Misses M. Spillane and M.
