FORTUNE BEQUEATHED TO PENSIONER
LONDON, November 13
After a year of existing in one .room with his wife on £ 1 weekly, which was their joint old age pensions, George Bolam, aged 76, of Alnwick, Northumberland, has been told by solicitors that he has inherited £23,000 from an uncle in South Australia. The fortune includes a 300-foot property in Sydney.
