Estimates of expenditure for 14 separate departments of State aie to be authorised to-morrow when the House of Representatives resumes after the •week-end recess. In an interview this evening the Prime Minister (the Rt Hon. M. J. Savage) said he proposed to ask for urgency for the passing of these votes, not so much for having them authorised in rapid time as for enabling the House to sit past 10.30 pm if there were items in the Estimates calculated to give rise to protracted discussion. Items cn the Estimates which are to receive consideration to-morrow are as follows: —Naval, Army, Air. Post and Telegraph, Industries and Commerce, ■with Tourist and Publicity and Scientific and Industrial Research: Valuation. State Forest Service, Census and Statistics, Government Insurance, Goveminent Accident Insurance, State Fire Insurance, Public Service Superannuation Fund and State Advances. The Prime Minister also said this evening that a start would be made on Wednesday afternoon with discussion on the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill providing for the establishment of a temporary Court to relieve the pressure qf work on the Arbitration Court. He added that the debate would be interrupted at the dinner .adjournment to enable the third reading debate of the Broadcasting Amendment, Bill to be, taken in the evening. j
