NEW BRIGHTON SUNDAY SCHOOL
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES HELD
On Sunday the celebration of the forty-ninth anniversary of the New Brighton Sunday School was held. The services were well attended. The Rev. W. A. Burley conducted the morning service. The Scripture lesson was recited by Derek McLean, Billy Marks, Connie Flaus, and Elaine Penney. Concerted recitations were given by Noeline McLean, Evelyn Jones, Shirley Hill, Phyllis Hale, and Norma McKenzie, and a chorus by the junior boys. A trio was given by Marjory Jones, Noeline Hale, and Marie Nelson. The afternoon service was conducted by the Rev. H. L. Fiebig, the singing being led by the primary pupils. The prizes for attendance were presented by Mrs F. Gardner Brown. The Rev, F. Gardner Brown conducted the evening service. Items were given by Betty Wyatt (solo), Melville Penney and Raymond Ellis (duet), and a chorus by the senior girls. Mrs B. H. Dean was the conductor, Miss L. Sincock the organist, and Mrs R. Pepperell the pianist.
