UNION CLUB KEEN RACING FOR PRESIDENT’S CUP A good entry was received from the President’s Cup, rowed this week, and for so early In the season, brilliant rowing was seen. ' The following are the results;— First Heat—E. B. Harding, F. Nash, E. Dasler. and J. Bryson beat K. Wild, R. Nicolson, R. Smith, and I. Iredale by a Second Heat—M. Cullen. J. Layton, G. Bryson, and J. Woodward beat C. Bunz, G K. Browne, S. Scott, and G. Pearce by a length: C. Cooper, D. Christopher, R. Sutherland, and R. Bryson drew a bye. Semi-final—Cooper’s crew beat Harding’s crew by three feet. Final—Cooper s crew beat Cullen s crew by half a length.
