HOME-SEPARATED BUTTER
NO RESTRICTION ON FARMERS
fFrom Our Parliamentary Reporter.! WELLINGTON, November 2.
Home-separated butter does not come within the scope of the Butter Marketing Regulations, according to a statement made in the House.of Representatives tO-day by the Minister for Marketing (the Hon. W. Nash) in a reply to an urgent question by Mr T. D. Burnett (National, Temuka). In asking his question Mr Burnett said there was a widespread desire on the part of farmers, particularly small farmers, for information about their ability to supply country storekeepers and others with dairy or home-separ-ated butter. The Minister replied that there was nothing in the regulations to "prevent the ordinary practices of farmers selling home-separated butter direct to storekeepers.
