BRIDGE PARTIES
CASHMERE GIRLS' CLUB
Members of the Cashmere Hills Girls' Club held a most enjoyable bridge party at the home of Mrs H. Wales, Cashmere. The three reception rooms were bright with roses from Cashmere gardens. Miss E. Clucas won the prize for auction bridge, and Mrs C. Ogilvie was the winner of the contract bridge prize. Amongst those present were Mr and Mrs C J. Morrison, Mr and Mrs A. J. A bridge evening party was given by Miss Rani Stewart in honour of Miss Phyllis Palmer, whose marriage will take place on Thursday. Those present were Mrs M. Smith, Misses Phyllis Palmer, Zoe Rattray, Kathleen Smart, Jffyn Farkes, Edna Grenfell, Joyce Roberts, Joan Barker, Betty Barrow, Berta Donovan, Gwen Barrow, and Irene Barrow.
FAREWELL PARTY
MRS S. WILKINSON HONOURED
Mrs Stanley Wilkinson (Hackthorne road), who is leaving Christchurch to live in Sydney, was the guest of honour at a farewell party given at Ballantynes tearooms yesterday afternoon by members of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Young Men's Christian Association. Mrs J. I. Royds, acting-presi-dent of the auxiliary, who presented Mrs Wilkinson with an early Victorian posy, expressed regret at her departure from Christchurch and said the auxiliary was losing a valuable member, who had done great work for the Young Men's Christian Association in past years. She wished her happiness in her new home. Mrs Wilkinson gratefully acknowledged the kindness of members of the guild. Amongst those present were Mesdames Wilkinson, J. I. Royds, G. Royds, W Clay, C.
