CHEVIOT WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

COMBINED SHOW OP WORK RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS The Women's Institutes of the Cheviot district combined to hold a successful show of work in the Cheviot Town Hall on Wednesday. Mrs B. L. Blunden, Waikari. judged the flower section, Mrs G. Cooper the home industries section, and Mrs Richards, Christchurch, the handcraft. There were good entries in most sections, and the work was of a high standard. The Cheviot Institute won the banner, and the Gore Bay Institute won a cup for most points on a membership basis. A silver vase given by Mrs G. Wood (Auckland) was won by Mrs K. G. Archer for most points in all sections. Two spccialp rizes were won by Miss McCann.
