Since the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council decided to make regular tests of the milk supplied under its jurisdiction to discover its quality and cleanliness 10,000 samples have been taken, according to a report before the council at a recent meeting. This has entailed the carriage of 400 gallons, or almost two tons, of milk to°the council's analyst and the expenditure of £42 on the purchase of To test them 87i gallons of chemicals and 200 gallons of water, which had to be distilled, have been used. It was decided to obtain a report showing the results of the tests
