NEW DRUG FOR CHEMICAL WARFARE
♦ NEW YORK, September 10. The report of the American Chemical Society envisages bloodless warfare by means of acetychlorine. It is claimed that an injection of the minutest quantity into the blood-stream will lower the blood pressure, thus causing fainting. For example, a grain would be sufficient to incapacitate 1,000,000 men, and it is suggested that it could be employed for that purpose. It is designed to. burst into tiny splinters, a scratch from which would cause instant fainting.
