NORTH CANTERBURY AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP Golfers arc reminded that the dates of the North Canterbury amateur championship have been altered so as not to clash with the New Zealand championships In October. The North Canterbury championships are now being played on the Harewood links on September 18 and 19 and the entries close to-day (Monday), September 13. As usual the senior and junior championships will be competed for, also senior and junior stroke handicaps. The Harewood teams' match cup (gross scores) and the Tlngey Cup (net scores) will also be played for, and a bogey handicap will bo played on Saturday, September 18. —1 RUSSLEY LADIES* CLUB The monthly bogey match was won by Miss L. In the semi-final of the intermediate championship, W. H. Davis beatE. Rudkin and E. Brightling beat G. McPherson. In the semi-finals of the Junior championship. N. Barrett beat T. A. WHANGAREI, September 11. The North Auckland women's golf chamI pionship was won by Miss O. Stevens (North Shore), who beat the title-holder. Miss J. Stewart (Whangarei) at the nineteenth green. The handicap event was won by Mrs L. R. Nelson (Whangarei), who boat Mrs G. M. Robertson four and two. In the semi-finals Miss Stevens beat Miss V. Fleming (Christchurch), the Tasrnan Cup player, 1 tip. Miss Stevens, using her mashie brilliantly, negotiated a stymie to win the match. Miss Stewart beat Mrs E. H. Steele, 3 and 2. NORTH BRITISH.
