MEAT PRICES IMPROVE STOCK EXCHANGES DULL Lamb prices have further improved on the Smithfield market, and consumption is very good for this time of the year: Light-weight mutton has also increased in price, but beef is cheaper. * The Stock Exchanges have had a discouraging week, and In general the trend of prices has been downward. The overseas exchanges have been nervous, and prices here have reacted. The tops market at Bradford is weaker in sympathy with the Australian sales, though the cabled quotations as yet show no alteration. Yarns are also cheaper. Butter and cheese in London remain steady.
