WOMAN'S DEATH IN BATH
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DROWNING (PBBSS ASBOCXITIOH TXL«OBAiI.) AUCKLAND, September 10. An Inquest into the death of Mrs Winifred Jane Smith, aged 45, who was found dead in the bath at her home, Heme Bay, was held before the Coroner, Mr F. K. Hunt ■'. Mrs, Smith's husband, Edward Smith, a sald'ihat when he returned home from church- on Sunday, September. {s,;:with his ,«on and, daughter, hj& fotai4 Ws wife lyihg , in. the bath with h«af. head submerged. ; Her clothes were folded on a chair, and the taps were turned off. Mrs Smith had been in good health. A verdict of accidental 'drowning was returned.
