WELLINGTON, September & The last of a series of conference* held by a committee set up by the New Zealand Employers’ Federati®, the New Zealand Federation of I** hour, the Young Men’s Christian As*©* ciatlon. and the Chamber of Commerce was conducted by the Acting-Minister for Labour (the Hon. P. C. Webb) today. The Government’s proposals concerning the subsidising of the waps of young men prepared to learn the building trade, were considered. a»® unanimously endorsed by the committee. After the meeting, the Minister met the executive of the Builders’ Federation and representatives of the Labour Department to discuss the proposals. This meeting also approved af the scheme. The Minister stated that he would issue a detailed statement about the action taken. »
