WINTER SPORTS CLUB’S SLALOM EVENTS Tricky snow for skl-ing was experienced on the lower grounds at Mount Cheeseman during the week-end, when the men’s and women’s championship slalom race£ of the Canterbury Winter Sports Club were held. The men’s event was won by W. M. Platts, and the women’s by Miss Laura Loughnan. The men’s course, set down Luncheon Gully, consisted of fairly wide open turns in the top half, including an inclined flush.
