ACCIDENTS
CYCLIST INJURED
Frank Britten, of 59 River road, Avonside, suffered injuries to his face and right hand when the bicycle he was riding struck the kerbing at the corner of Vogsl street and Stanmore road on Saturday evening. He was admitted to hospital, and his condition last night was reported to be satisfactory.
FINGERS LACERATED
Lacerations of the fingers and injuries to the left hand were suffered by Noel McDonald, aged 15, of 272 Stanmore road, when he was struck by a Tick while le-m'ng against a t"ee at Sheffield at midday yesterday. Ho was brought to Chrirtchurch and admitted to the Public Hospital
OLD MAN DIES OF INJURIES
NEW PLYMOUTH, July 11.
Benjamin Phillips, aged 82, a married man, died in hospital late on Saturday from injuries received when he was knocked down in the street at •3 p.m. by a car driven by C. J. Cliff. There was misty rain at the time of the accident and visibility was poor
