BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL ASSEMBLY HALL

♦ For some time a group of parents, old boys, and friends of the Christchurch Boys' High School has been organising, to provide sufficient funds for the erection of a combined assembly hall and gymnasium at the school. A considerable sum has now been raised, and with a view to obtaining the remainder of the finance required, a meeting of all interested in the welfare of the school and its pupils will be held in the Canterbury College Hall, Worcester street west, next Thursday at 8 p.m., when Mr C. T. Aschman, chairman of the Canterbury College Council, will preside. The headmaster, Mr G. J. Lancaster, and the whole of the staff will attend to discuss matters relating to the project. It is intended at this meeting to launch a campaign for the "last brick."
