SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Miss Joyce Brodrick (Martinborough), who was the guest of Miss Knubley, Sarah street, left on Saturday to stay with Mrs Humphrey Holderness (Christchurch) before returning home. Miss Helen Shaw, who is to be a bridesmaid at Hiss Margaret Shand's wedding on Wednesday, arrived yesterday from Christchurch to stay with her grandmother, Mrs J. G. Gow, Selwyn street. Mr and Mrs R. R. Beauchamp and their children have arrived from Perth (Western Australia) and are staying with Mrs G. Murray ("Braemar," Mackenzie Country). Mrs W Macfarlane (Christchurch), who was~ at "Cadogan," Sefton street, returned home on Saturday. Hester Wigley (Highfleld), who was at the Hennitage, left on Saturday to visit Mrs James Grant (Gray's Hills, Mackenzie Country). Mrs W. A. Scaife (Wanaka) is staying with Mrs L. Scaife, Bidwill street. Miss Margaret Webster has returned to Christchurch after a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs G. Webster, Nelson terrace. Miss Geraldine Hamilton arrived on Saturday from Dunedin to spend a holiday with her parents, Mr and Mrs G. Hamilton, Page's road.
