MUST I LIVE?

TO THE EDITOB 0» TKB PRXA3 Sir, —When this question is asked, it comes along with a dozen or more shibboleths attached to it; and it is only the spiritualist who is competent to deal with most of them. When it is put to us, a bit twisted on the mundane plane into "I must live," we, as wage earners and taxpayers, will reply: "Not necessarily on me." But our Government, in its wisdom, says: "Yes, on you, certainly; on whom else? It is my business to see you are not fleeced." We know quite well that the science of living is not taking in each others' washing; though, to a certain extent, the burden of each should be spread over all This, we take it, is one of the sciences of government that one should be expert in. We must be careful not to add to the multitude of discontents which we found about us, from several causes which we are trying to remove. The spiritualist does not expect the Government to go much deeper into spiritual causes than this. From now on, we become the experts, and tett the Government on what lines it should proceed.—Yours, etc., PETER TROLOVE. June 5, 1937.
