INTER-CLUB SHIELD COMPETITIONS
* KAIAPOI MEETS RICHMOND In the first round of the inter-club shield tournament, played at Kaiapoi on Saturday afternoon, the Richmond Working Men's Club beat the Kaiapoi
Working Men's Club by 59 games to 56. At billiards, Kaiapoi won three games and Richmond none. At euchre Richmond scored 33 games, and Kaiapoi 23, and at crib Kaiapoi won 30 games and Richmond 26.
