NEW ORGANISATION OF UNEMPLOYED
A, new organisation for unemployed sustenance men and depressed workers generally was formed in Christchurch at a meeting held on Saturday morning. The aim of the new body was stated, in the motion forming it, to be for the mutual aid of classes named, and the general improvement of their conditions, with the ultimate idea of linking up with the New Zealand Federation of Labour. Officers were appointed temporarily as /allows: Chairman of committees, Mr T. Glanville; secretary, Mr E. Thomas, and an executive of five members.
