A MAIL DELIVERY COMPLAINT

On May 28 there appeared .in■ “The Press" a letter from Speed Up. alleging that overseas mail brought by to Auckland was not delivered " ™ church until Thursday, May 27, instead of Tuesday, May 25. It has been ascertamed that the Remuera did not bring a tetter mail for Christchurch. It appears that “Speed Up” confused the Remuera with the Tamaroa. The Tamaroa arrived in Auckland late on Monday, May 24. with an English mail; and the southern Portion was forwarded from Auckland by the first dispatch—the Main Trunk eitpress—on the afternoon of Tuesday. May 25. There was. therefore, no avoidable delay to the mail in question.
