PROMINENT PLAYERS BEATEN PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENT IN BRITAIN (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.) (Received June 4, 7.20 p.m.) LONDON, June 3. An unprecedented collapse of prominent golfers occurred In the £750 tournament at Moortown. The Ryder Cup players, A. H. Padgham, W. J. Cox, and E. Jarman failed to survive the first round, in which P. J. Mahon, of Dublin, and A. G. Matthews (last year’s winner) were also beaten. Another Ryder Cup representative, P. Allis, was beaten in the second round after which the only Ryder Cup players surviving were A. J. Lacey and J, J. Busson. _
