CROQUET
OPAWA CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD The Opawa Croquet Club held its annual meeting recently. The president. Mrs Geo. Owen, presided. The'annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The finances of the club were stated to be in an excellent position, there being a credit balance of £lO 11s 3d, The following officers were elected:— President, Mrs G. Owen; secretary, Mrs N. Banks; captain, Mrs C. Bull; vice-cap-tain, Mrs F. Wood; general committee, Mesdames J. Grafton, M. Allen, J. Jarden, F. Holland, W. Faulkner; delegate to Croquet Association, Mrs C. Bull; delegates to bowling club, Mrs G. Owen and Mrs C. Bull; handicappers, Mesdames C. Bull and F. Wood; auditor, Mr F. Holland. The president, in reviewing the year, remarked on the club’s success in winning the intermediate flag in the association’s competition, and also the silver button in the C grade competition.
