WOMEN’S TEMPERANCE UNION
♦ ST. ALBANS BRANCH The May meeting of the St. Albans branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the Salvation Army Hall, with Mrs W. Grigg presiding. Mrs Podmore led the devotional exercises, and a new member was welcomed. Several temperance topics were discussed, and the temperance pledge recited. Afternoon tea was carved, the hostess being Mrs Grigg.
