COMPETITION HELD TO REQUIRE SKILL
♦ MAGISTRATE DISMISSES CHARGE (PBESB ASSOCIATION TBLIGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 3. Holding that there was a considerable element of skill in the competition, the Magistrate, Mr E. D. Mosley, to-day delivered his reserved judgment in favour of the defendant in a case brought by the police against Stewart John France, who tried a scheme conducted with Wellington Rugby matches, on April 17. At the hearing, the defendant showed that he did very badly out of it, and was not likely to repeat his effort. He had a £2O prize and all his expenses vto meet against a response of about £5 to his circulars.
