The meetings at Geneva last week afforded a fresh opportunity to the Foreign Ministers of Great Britain, France, and Belgium to review the state of negotiations for a new Western agreement. As is known, all three Governments attach the greatest importance to bringing the discussions, which have been in tram now for more than a year, to a successful conclusion, and it was agreed to press on with efforts to this end. Reports which have appeared, suggesting that as a result of the Geneva talks, Mr R. A.
