Mr Copland farmed the Meadow Bank estate for 12 years, and then took over th S„ Cc !E lan ° estate, "Brookfield." Mr Copland had considerable sucin Q the s , how £ing witn his Clydesdales, as well as his sheep, and Judged at nearly every large show in the Dominion, being particularly popular as a judge of Border Leicester sheep. The funeral was attended by representatives of every class in the community. The pall-bearers were his brothers, Messrs James Copland (Balclutha), n J dr ? w it c °P 1 5 nd (Awamunga, Otago) and Arthur Copland (Hook), and Mr Andrew^ Copland (Bushy Park, Gore), MR E. PHILLIPS-TURNER AUCKLAND, May 20. The death occurred in Hamilton today of Mr Edward Phillips-Turner, formerly Director of Forestry, at the age of 73 years. MR CARL MOELLER SYDNEY, May 20. The death has occurred of Mr Carl Moeller, of the Sydney wool firm of Hilberts. SIR DANIEL LEVY SYDNEY, May 20. ♦ Sir Daniel Levy, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, died suddenly this morning at the age of 63 years. He will be accorded a State funeral to-morrow. Sir Daniel Levy had been a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly since 1901. He served three terms as Speaker, from 1919 to 1925, from 1927 to 1930, and again since June, 1931, a total of 14 years.
