A CORONATION MEMORIAL

to thb enrroit o» Tni! press Sir,—Mrs Mackay's suggestion of a Children's Hospital as a fitting memorial of the Coronation is one which mothers and all lovers of children will heartily commend. Most of the memorials commemorating such '_ vents have been masses of cold stone, useful only as works of art, and sometimes very crude attempts at that. Let old ideas pass away; build memorials which house love and care, and all the essentials of life and health, for the children. Let Christchurch have ;ts children's hospital on the finest and healthiest site procurable.—Yours, etc., J. GRANT. May 1, 1937.
