ANNUAL MEETING OF ST. JAMES' CHURCH
RETIREMENT OF REV. R. DE LAMBERT A reduction of loans by £lO2 was shown in the financial report presented to the annual meeting of St. James’ Church. Riccarton, held recently. The reduction, it was stated, was largely due to the work of the Rev. O. FitzGerald during his four months in the parish. The churchwardens, in their report, expressed appreciation of the services of the Rev, R. de Lambert, who had been compelled to resign on account of ill-health. The following officers were appointed: Vicar’s warden. Mr C. Samuda; people’s warden, Mr H. E. Jarman; vestry, Messrs Carson, Cox. Armiger, Hamilton. Hart. Green, Luxton, McDonagh, Powell. Wendlekin; enyelope secretary, Mr B. Musgrave; auditor. Mr W. A. Mansell. Appreciative reference was made to the services given by the late Mr W. G. Jamieson, who had acted assynodsman for a number of years. The vacancy has been filled by the appointment of Mr J. H. Rhodes. ... The retiring vicar expressed his regret at leaving his charge and thanked the parishioners and officers for the support given' him in his term of office. His successor, the Rev. S. j. Cooper, will take charge on July 1.
