PROCESSION THROUGH CITY ROUTE ARRANGED Mr H. Macintosh, former Chief City Traffic Inspector, who is in charge of the organisation of the Coronation Day procession to be held on May 12, reported on Saturday that the following route had been approved: From Moorhouse avenue, north along Manchester street to High street, thence to Cashel street; along Cashel street to Colombo .street; from Colombo street to Cathedral square; round the back of the Godley statue and the north side of the Cathedral to Worcester street; east along Worcester street to Manchester street; north along Manchester street to Armagh street: west along Armagh street to Colombo street; through Victoria square to Victoria street, finishing at Park terrace. PROPOSED HOLIDAY , EMPLOYERS TO CONSIDER OBSERVANCE The proposal to observe Coronation Day, May 12, as a holiday in the various industries governed by awards will be given consideration at a meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Employers’ Association and representatives of affiliated associations to-morrow afternoon. GOVERNMENT WORKERS TO BE PAID HOLIDAY FOR CORONATION (press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, May 1. All Government employees will enjoy a holiday an full pay on Coronation Day, but whether employees of private firms in Auckland will also nave a paid holiday is still in doubt. No decision has yet been made by the Employers’ Association or the Manufacturers’ Association. Both will consider the question next week. Local body employees will have a paid holiday.
