VISIT TO NORTH ISLAND
TOUR BY WEST FARMERS A party of 100 West Coast farmers will leave to-day on a visit to the North Island. The party was limited to 100 and several persons have had to be turned away. The party will be under the leadership of Mr J. Mulcare, secretary of the West Coast Farmers’ Union. The popularity of such trips is shewn by the large number of farmers who went to Southland last winter. About 05 per cent, of those travelling to-day were members of the party which visited Southland. Mr H. Langford, business manager for the Railways Department in Canterbury and Westland, who has largely been responsible for the success of the trips, will accompany the party. __________________
