WESTERN SECURITY PACT
* —- REPORTED APPROACH BY * BRITAIN OUTCOME OP GUARANTEES TO BELGIUM LONDON, April 30. As an outcome of the meeting of the British Foreign Secretary (Mr R, A. Eden) and the Prime Minister of Belgium (M. Paul van Zeeland) in Brussels, it is understood thdl Britain is making a new approach towards a five Power Western European Security Pact, in the hope that Germany might consider co-opera-tion. . x It is proposed to initiate a system of non-aggression pacts between Britain and Belgium, Prance and Belgium, and Germany and Belgium, to which the recent British and French guarantees to Belgium would be supplementary.
