NEW COMMISSIONS TO BE FORMED
ADJUSTMENT OF MORTGAGES IN THE CITY Advice that two new mortgage adjustment commissions will be appointed in Christchurch has been received from the Justice Department, Wellington. -The commission already in existence will continue to hear farm applications, the new cominissions being set up to deal with city applications under the .Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation A<?t, There is a possibility also that a further commission to hear Ashburton applications will be set up. The appointment of the new commissions has been decided oh by the Government to avoid the delay which would occur-if one commission had to deal with both town and country applications. The personnel of the new commissions has not yet been decided, but the chairman of each wiU be a solicitor. '
