“HURLY BURLY”
* STUDENTS’ ANNUAL REVUE The many attractions to be staged at the Canterbury College students’ revue, “Hurly Burly,” which will commence its season of three nights at the Theatre Royal to-morrow, will be presented to the public in a professional manner. Rehearsals, some of them taking hours, are the order. of the day; and each section is trying to make its act perfect. An outstanding feature, and one which will make an appeal to the public, is the dancing. Miss Peggy
Holmes has trained the men’s ballet, and Miss Rona Vaughan the women’s ballet, both having been brought to a high standard. The programme will consist of at least 12 features, many of them decidedly ambitious. The producer, Mr Bernard Beeby, has instilled the keenest possible enthusiasm into eyery member of the cast. The’ music, which is of an exceptionally high order, will be under the directorship of Mr Fritz Seymour, with Mr Gordon V. Anderson as conductor. Included in the programme is a spectacular gymnastic i display, which will present some new ideas in entertainment. The entire programme is of an exceptionally high standard.
